Your First Holiday Homeschooling Tip

Since today is the first day of the Homeschooling Through The Holiday series, I’m going to share with you the first holiday homeschooling tip of the season.

You know I love simple homeschool learning, right? And I mean all learning, whether you are just starting with writing and counting, or if you are tracking high school credits and filling out college applications.

It all should be simple.

Naturally, one of the simplest (and most freeing!) ways to homeschool through the holidays is to be flexible.

The holiday season naturally comes with busy schedules, extra activities, and shifting routines, and thatโ€™s okay. Instead of fighting against it, embrace it! Get a good holiday planner and learn to go with the flow for the next few weeks.

Remember that learning doesnโ€™t have to look like sitting at a desk or following a rigid schedule. Baking holiday cookies counts as math and science, watching classic holiday movies can spark storytelling and discussion, and shopping and wrapping gifts teach real-world skills like budgeting, measurement, and creativity.

Even playing outside in the snow, visiting friends and family, or reading Christmas books together by the fire all provide rich opportunities for connection and growth, not to mention learning.

So give yourself permission to slow down, follow your familyโ€™s rhythm, and find joy in the everyday learning moments this season brings.

Letโ€™s Make Homeschooling Through The Holiday Season Simple

Friend, homeschooling during the holidays doesnโ€™t have to feel overwhelming. With a little intention (and a lot of grace), this season can become one of the most memorable parts of your homeschool year.

So grab your cocoa, light the tree, and join us for a month of inspiration, encouragement, and community.

Welcome to Homeschooling Through the Holidays 2025! ๐ŸŽ

Happy holiday homeschooling, friend!
