Amazon Prime Day is here, my friend, and I want to help you snag the best deals and keep your Amazon shopping simple this year. I’m sharing all the tips & tricks I can right here so you can avoid the overwhelm, prevent overspending, and shop with confidence.

Your Amazon Prime Membership is the Key To Prime Day Savings!

Amazon’s annual Prime Day event is here, and with it comes amazing discounts and savings for shoppers worldwide.

But you need to have an Amazon Prime account to enjoy all the savings! Our household has been an Amazon Prime member for years now, and the features make renewal an easy decision to make.

With an Amazon Prime account, we have access to:

  • Special pricing
  • No-cost shipping
  • Prime Video
  • Prime Music
  • Prime Gaming
  • Prime Reading
  • Plus so much more!

At just $14.99/month or $139/year, an Amazon Prime account is a great deal, especially for a homeschool family.

However, there are two discounted options for Amazon Prime accounts that you may qualify for, including the Student Account or the EBT/SNAP discount. Be sure to see if you qualify!

Oh, and Prime Young Adult members (ages 18-24) get 10% cash back!

Amazon Prime Day 2026

Slated for June 23-26, 2026, Prime Day is going to be a 4-day shopping event that could help you prepare your home & homeschool for another year of fun & learning.

Amazon Prime Day 2026 Tips & Tricks

To make the most out of Amazon’s Prime Day, keep these tips & tricks in mind:

  • Set a budget! It’s easy to overspend and get caught up in the savings, ads, and even excitement of this summertime annual event. Set a budget before you shop so you don’t have buyer’s remorse later.
  • Pay with cash! In our easy-credit, pay-later society, it can be easy to compound a budget-busting decision by adding interest into the equation. In today’s inflated market, many consumers are reporting interest rates above 20%, with some store cards charging nearly 35%! YUCK! Please, don’t put your Prime purchases on a credit card or fall for the buy now, pay later offers you will see at checkout. If you truly need an item, make a plan, start saving, and buy it when you can pay with cash. Your future self will thank you!
  • Plan ahead! Have a list of things you know you want or perhaps a few things your home needs? Right them down and start making a plan.
  • Shop early. Many Amazon Prime members have access to deals days and even weeks in advance.
  • When in doubt… pass. I know, I should be encouraging you to shop ’til you drop, but I can’t. I’m a homeschooling mama on a budget, too, and I don’t want you to think that you are missing out if you don’t grab that vacuum deal now or that your kids will suffer if you don’t add that pool to your cart this instant. While shopping and saving is amazing… waiting on big-ticket purchases or pausing when you are unsure is amazing, too.
